Title: The Racing Motorcycle. A technical guide for constructors. Vol. 1 and 2.
Author: John Bradley.
Publisher: Broadland Leisure Publications.
Language: English.
Both of these books are an incredible source of information for all who wish to modify or build their own motorcycle.
Volume 1 of The Racing Motorcycle deals with the characteristics of the motorcycle, gear box geometry, aerodynamics and suspension. Even though the book is written principally for engineers, the clear style in which it is written makes it appropriate for non specialists.
Volume 2 covers the practical construction of chassis. The book is principally divided in two parts. In the first part all the steps are described to construct an steel chassis and the second deals with the aluminium chassis. There is also a chapter where comments may be found on special features and applications of other materials such as composites, titanium or magnesium. The book is completed with a chapter on the manufacture of exhausts and another on structural rigidity.
